Online-only companies (often referred to as “dot-coms” or “pure online players”) are organizations that operate entirely online and do not have any traditional or physical presence in the market in the form of physical stores or retail outlets. Their business model and operations are based entirely on the Internet and digital platforms.
These companies have significantly lower operating costs (for rent and personnel) compared to companies with physical stores, which allows them to be extremely competitive in terms of prices. However, they must invest heavily in digital marketing and logistics to build a brand and compensate for the lack of physical contact with customers.
