Direct Marketing Channel

A direct marketing channel (also called a zero-level marketing channel) is a distribution channel that has no intermediary levels. In this channel, the manufacturer sells directly to the end consumer.

Examples of a direct channel include door-to-door sales, mail order, company-owned stores, and sales through a corporate website (e-commerce). Using a direct channel gives the company complete control over distribution and customer service, while eliminating the margins of intermediaries.
