JavaScript is a powerful and widely used scripting language that is a fundamental element of modern web development. Its main feature is that the execution of the code does not take place on the server (as is the case with PHP or Python), but directly in the user’s browser (the so-called client-side).

This functionality allows JavaScript to add dynamism and interactivity to static web pages that are otherwise built with HTML and CSS. JavaScript can be used to create drop-down menus, validate forms before submission, change element styles in real time, and load new content without reloading the entire page (AJAX technology).

Since JavaScript runs locally on the user’s device, it plays a key role in improving the user experience and reducing server load. Although originally created for web browsers, JavaScript is now also used for backend development (with Node.js), mobile applications, and desktop software.
